All Students will wash their hands before and after each massage with antibacterial soap, and sprayed with antiseptic and antifungal spray. All sheets will be changed after every massage session and laundered on the same day with bleach and antibacterial detergent.
Communicable Diseases
Bandages will be worn over any injured areas on the therapist’s hands. Gloves should be worn if infection is present or if the client is very susceptible to infection. Chlorine Bleach will be available for any clean ups.
Draping Policy and Procedure
Respect for the client by following all recommendations regarding draping properly.
* It is the responsibility of the massage therapist to assure the privacy and respect of the client and to find out if the client feels comfortable, safe and secure with the draping
* The client may choose to be fully draped or clothed throughout the session.
* The female client’s breasts are never undraped.
* The genitals, perineum, or anus are never undraped.
* Consent of the client is required to work on any part of the body regardless of whether the client is fully clothed, fully draped, or partially draped.
It is the policy of Body Care School of the Healing Arts, that ALL clients and or students will be fully draped during clinic and or practicum’s.
